It's 10 pm. Do you know where you and your loved ones are? Here is a collection of experiences from those who live / have lived with an obsessive MMOG gamer and from those who have lived the experience of obsessive MMOG gaming.

The Daedelus Project has just released a new article called "A New Disease is Born" which deals with the concept of Internet (and online gaming) addiction. You can read it here: http://www.nickyee.com/daedalus/archives/001494.php .

My only (public) comment: Watching TV for 30 hours every week is lame. Gaming online 30 hours a week is equally lame.

And I stick by my favourite term describing all these stories that I am collecting: Obsession.

"On average, people watch 25-30 hours of TV a week, yet we seldom question whether people watch too much TV these days. But is that because TV has become a socially acceptable “addiction” that everyone is guilty of? "

people dont go into a rage when they cant watch their favorite show, its just not the same thing.
