I works a 40hr job as a programmer, I excersize 1.5 hours a day, I am engaged, I am studying to go to medical school, and I play eq2 about 8-10 hours a week. Usually Sundays are designated as "relax and do nothing nothing day." so that is when I play. But on those days I might take the fiance to the zoo, movies, or just a roller blade ride down the canal. What ever is left is the tim eI get to play and that is how it has always been. When I am logged on and playing it amazes me how many peopel do have this thing as thier life. One guild tried to recruit me, but had this stipulation that I needed to show up at least 3 times a week for raids. Needless to say I told them I could ot had other commitments. They kept on insisting saying that I should think of it as a"study break". I told them, but what about my future wife, she does not think that. She would want some time together because if I am not studying, then I should do sothing with her. She is absolutly right! However though recently she went back to school and some extra time so she tried playing, and now she also plays casually. So there are times instead of sitting in front of the TV together at night, we play for about 2-3 hours and then go to bed. ITs actually quite fun playing together and now the way I see it, it is something we do together. However, if she did not play, I woould be doing sosmething else with her that we BOTH enjoy! As far as being a slob, well that is just plain disgusting!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6241291.post-19135785382288713372009-09-23T08:01:57.914-07:002009-09-23T08:01:57.914-07:00It really amazes me how some people are. play eq...It really amazes me how some people are. play eq2 all the time. I don't remember the last tie we had a conversation that didn't involve WOW. I'm trying to talk to him about nursing school, saving lives whatnot, all I get back is WOW. He doesn't understand that it isn't real. If I told him I was going to leave him he would not care as long as I didn't try to take the computer. Which might happen anyway.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6241291.post-38455935743056414792007-01-08T01:23:00.000-08:002007-01-08T01:23:00.000-08:00Tell him the truth, he TURNS YOU OFF because he ha...Tell him the truth, he TURNS YOU OFF because he has put his addiction before his family. Then suggest a cut back to his gaming to wean him off. If that doesn't work ..marrige counseling. If he says NO. Then tell him to take his computer to a hotel where they can be happy together.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6241291.post-1110954197094060212005-03-15T22:23:00.000-08:002005-03-15T22:23:00.000-08:00my husband and I am going through the same thing r...my husband and I am going through the same thing rite now and i cant stand it!! He should be able to log on, play some, then log off. I know from my experience with EQ back in the first 6 months, getting anything done took hours. WoW might actually help wean him down to a healthier level.

Or if he likes superheroes, try City of Heroes. You can log in a get a mission done in 15-20 minutes, log out, boom your done. Perfect for the casual gamer that has a real life outside of what is (for most folks) just a computer hobby.

Good luckAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6241291.post-1109785373520148692005-03-02T09:42:00.001-08:002005-03-02T09:42:00.001-08:00Divorce him.
